For Goodness Sake, a Bristol-based not-for-profit organization that gathers donations of furniture and other household goods for individuals and families recovering from homelessness, has announced a new fundraiser, “A Plate at the Table.” Since 2013, a press release from For Goodness Sake said, the organization has helped over 100 families. The fundraising event will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Anthony Jacks Wood Fire Grill located in Southington. “We are excited that this event coincides with our organization’s one year anniversary. It is because of the dedicated service of both past and present staff members that make For Goodness Sake a success story. We are excited to host this event, and our organization will continue to grow and prosper with the generous support of our donors.” said Kendra Morales, For Goodness Sake’s executive director in a press release. Tickets are on sale for $30 per person and include Anthony Jacks signature cranberry chicken, penne a la vodka, salad and bread.
