Roadwork slated to begin Aug. 21

The City of Bristol is scheduled to start Phase II of the roadway resurfacing program on Aug. 21. As part of the program the following streets will be milled and resurfaced:   Maple Avenue (Round Hill to Jerome Ave)   Arlington Street Uconn Drive   Princeton Drive   Henderson Street   Falls Brooks Road   Patricia Drive   Regency Court   Concetta Road   Castle Road   D’Amato Lane   Jennifer Road   Melinda Lane   Del Prado Drive   El Toro Drive Larkspur Lane   Suffolk Place   Marcia Drive (Ivy to Sonstrom)   Marcia Drive (Sonstrom to Foxwood)   Sonstrom Road (Stafford to Illinois)   Sonstrom Road (Illinois to Old Turnpike)       The work in most areas will be completed in two phases. The initial phase will consist of milling off the existing bituminous pavement along the edge of the road. The second phase will consist of installing a new bituminous roadway surface and will commence shortly after phase one.
