Police identify woman who died in Darling Street structure fire

Police officials have identified the woman who died during a residential structure fire on Darling Street early Sunday morning. The victim was identified as Kristen Milano, 19, of 32 Darling St., Apt. A. Firefighters found Milano in one of the home’s bedrooms. The Southington Fire Department responded to a fire at the Summer Brook Apartments on Darling Street at 4:30 a.m. Sunday. The second floor of the condo unit was engulfed when fire officials arrived. All Southington fire companies, along with an engine and a tower truck from Bristol, responded. The Southington Police Department and AMR also responded with multiple units. The Southington Police and Fire Departments are investigating the fire along with the state fire marshal.
