Third man charged with 2008 break-in at storage facility

Ted BishopThe Southington Police Department has made a third arrest in connection to the November 2008 break-in at the Southington Public Storage facility. According to police, Ted Bishop and Charles and Richard Soto broke into 131 units at the storage facility on Spring Street on or about November 16, stealing over $15,000 in property. A search and seizure warrant executed on May 1, 2009 at Charles Soto’s residence at 164 East Street in Plainville, resulted in the recovery and positive identification of many of the items reported stolen from several public storage units. Bishop was being held in Florida on unrelated charges. He was extradited back to Connecticut to face charges. He was charged on Monday, June 16 with first degree larceny, 131 counts of third degree burglary and 131 counts of third degree criminal mischief. He was held on a $100,000 bond for a June 17 court date.
